Medical disclaimer

Your Cycle, Made Simple, this website (dovalee.com) and our emails are general information about the menstrual cycle and the hormones involved. They are not medical advice. They do not diagnose any condition, and they are not a substitute for care from a doctor or another qualified health professional.

Everyone's body is different, and the book says so often: it describes what many women notice, on average, not what any one person will feel. Please talk to a doctor about your own symptoms, medicines, birth control or any treatment. Do not ignore medical advice, stop a medicine, or put off seeing a doctor because of something you read in the book or on this site.

The book labels each claim by how strong the evidence is, and lists dated sources in the back. Research changes, and a label reflects the evidence at the time of writing.

We cannot answer personal medical questions by email. If you write to us about your health, we will kindly point you to a doctor.
